April 27-Drummer Winard Harper has a very exciting 6
piece band (somewhat in the style of Art Blakeys Jazz Messenger groups) that will make their 1st appearance
at our series today.
May 4- College Jazz Day performance (Cuesta & Cal Poly) All proceeds go to the college music departments. Matinee at 4:00 only.
May 18- One of the nations finest alto saxophonists (and a flute virtuoso as well), Gary Foster plays here today. Master pianist Tom Ranier will also be on hand.
June 1- Warm toned, mellow styled guitarist Doug Macdonald and his trio make a welcome return today.
June 15- Pianist /Vocalist John Proulx played our series in 06' and impressed everyone with both his pianistic ability and his charming vocal style. Tocay he brings in his trio (Barry Zweig, guitar, and series favorite Luther Hughes,bass) in a musical tribute to Nat Cole.
June 29- Pianist Marshall Otwell is an outstanding piano artist much admired for his longtime work with vocalist Carmen McRae (as well as Dizzy Gillespie). He makes his first appearance at our series today.
